Some hosts on Twitter’s live audio function, Spaces, will now sell access to Ticketed Spaces. Users above 18 who have hosted three Spaces in the last 30 days and have at least 1,000 followers can apply for Ticketed Spaces.
- As of now, only iOS users can purchase tickets to Spaces hosted by people who have access to the function.
- Twitter has already said that it will take a 3% cut of Ticketed Spaces earnings from creators.
- Twitter’s Ticketed Spaces would set it apart from its live audio competitors. Listeners can tip speakers or award badges in a live audio area via Clubhouse and Instagram, but advance ticket sales are unavailable.
